 Dr. James Parkinson  1755-1824 published an essay in 1817, entitled ”An Essay on the Shaking Palsy” which  established Parkinson's disease as a recognized medical condition.

Dr. James Parkinson Tulip J.W.S. Van der Wereld, a Dutch horticulturalist who had Parkinson's Disease, gave the name "Dr. James Parkinson" to the red and white tulip he had developed.
